The project was issued as a vinyl LP, with five songs featured on each side of the record. I'm Alright charted on the Billboard Top Country Albums survey upon its release. Buoyed by the worldwide success of the single, Rose Garden became one of the biggest-selling albums of all time, and the first Platinum-certified LP ever recorded by a female country star, making Lynn Anderson one of the most recognizable faces and voices in popular entertainment, and one of the most influential female artists of the twentieth century.

  7. Joe South was one of those '60s artists who should have had a much bigger career, in my opinion. A terrific songwriter, his tunes were covered by genre-crossing artists to much radio and chart success (Lynn Anderson's version of Rose Garden, Deep Purple's take on Hush, Billy Joe Royal's smash hits Down in the Boondocks and I Knew You When, the Raiders' Birds of a Feather, etc.)/5(87).
